SGI Students Bring Words to Life

SGI Students Bring Words to Life

Spring Grove Area Intermediate School’s 5th graders brought words to life during the 2025 Vocabulary Parade, an annual tradition where students choose a vocabulary word, define it, and create a costume to visually represent their chosen word.

This year, rain and heavy winds moved the parade indoors. The school’s marching band and orchestra played in the gym to kick off the event, setting the stage for the 5th graders’ creative march. Students then paraded through the 6th grade hallways, sharing their imaginative costumes and definitions with older classmates.

The SGI Podcast Team captured the excitement and, in November, published a special video covering the event, giving the community a chance to see the students’ creativity in action.

The Vocabulary Parade continues to be a fun and educational highlight at SGI, inspiring students to engage with language in a hands-on and memorable way.
