SGI Takes 6th Place at Envirothon

SGI Takes 6th Place at Envirothon

Congratulations to the Spring Grove Crazy Crawfish Envirothon team of Xander Gardner, Jack Harrold, Olivia Page, Kinley Reed, Emma Lewis, and Norah McCormick!

Our incredible 5th and 6th graders earned an impressive sixth place overall at the Envirothon competition, scoring 292 points out of 340! They competed against 800 students countywide.

Envirothon is the largest environmental education competition in the nation, where students dive into learning all year long about aquatics, forestry, soils, wildlife, and a new current environmental issue each year. This competition is all about having fun while mastering teamwork, sportsmanship, stewardship, and independent research skills. Plus, all resources align with our state or national science standards!

A huge shoutout to our Crazy Crawfish for their hard work and dedication and to Spring Grove Area Intermediate teachers Mrs. Lisa Catlin and Mr. Chris Tanczos for their leadership!
