Spring Grove String Musicians Shine

Spring Grove String Musicians Shine

Our talented Spring Grove string players have proudly represented our district at two prestigious honors festivals across the region!

The Pigeon Hills String Invitational brought together top string musicians in grades 5–8 from Spring Grove, Hanover, Southern York, South Western, and New Oxford. On November 14, students rehearsed with local directors and then showcased their hard work in a concert for family and friends at New Oxford Middle School.

Our high school musicians also participated in the York County High School Orchestra Festival, which features top players from every York County public school. On November 22, students worked with guest conductor Dr. Timothy Dixon of Messiah University to prepare for a culminating concert at Northern High School.
