Visitor Procedures at SGASD Schools
At Spring Grove Area School District, creating a safe and welcoming environment for all students, staff, and visitors is one of our top priorities. To help us maintain a secure setting in all district buildings during the school day, we ask that all visitors follow the procedures outlined below.

Entry Procedures
- All SGASD buildings remain locked during the school day.
- Please use the main entrance when visiting any school.
- Upon arrival, press the first doorbell and wait to be acknowledged by a staff member.
- Once inside the vestibule, press the second doorbell to be admitted to the main office.
- For security reasons, do not hold the door for others. Everyone must be individually buzzed in by office staff.
Visitor Check-In
- All visitors must sign in at the office upon arrival using our Raptor Visitor Management System.
- First-time visitors will be required to have their driver’s license or state-issued ID scanned to be added to the system.
- Once signed in, the system will print a visitor badge with your name and photo. This badge must be worn and visible at all times while you are in the building.
- Please bring your ID with you every time you visit a district building.

Volunteer Requirements
- If you plan to volunteer in any SGASD school, you must complete the district’s volunteer registration process before doing so.
- This includes submitting background clearances and any necessary documentation.

Student Release
- For safety purposes, we cannot release a student during school hours without proper identification.
- If you do not have your ID, you will be asked to return with it before a student can be released.
School Office Hours
Visitors are encouraged to come during the hours listed below to ensure a staff member is available to assist you:
Regular School Days
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Early Dismissal & In-Service/Non-Student Days
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Summer Hours
Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
